Please include the following information in your message:

  • Device model
  • OS version
  • Ayumi app version
  • A short description of the issue
  • Steps to reproduce the issue, if available
  • Screenshots or screen recordings, if available

Ayumi may request access to the following permissions:

PermissionPurpose
LocationUsed to attach the place where an entry was created and to fetch weather information for that location
MicrophoneUsed to record audio notes for transcription
Photo Library / FilesUsed when attaching images, PDFs, audio, or other files to an entry

You can continue using Ayumi without granting these permissions, but related features may be limited.

Ayumi can automatically fetch weather information when creating a new entry.

This feature is used only when the app has permission to access location and when the user creates a new entry.

Ayumi offers optional audio transcription using the Gemini API.

  • This feature is optional
  • Users must provide their own Gemini API key
  • Audio is sent to Google’s Gemini API only when the user explicitly uses transcription
  • Ayumi does not require AI features for basic journaling

Ayumi stores journal entries as Markdown files in a location chosen by the user. Attachments such as images, audio files, and PDFs can be stored alongside entries.

See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.
